New England Patriots Shut Down Green Bay Packers

The New England Patriots silenced the Green Bay Packers yesterday and won 35-0 at Lambeau Field – a place where the Patriots have known only defeat. The Patriots are now back on track after losing two straight and the Green Bay Packers are looking at the prospect of continuing the season without Brett Favre who left the game with an injury to his right hand. The Patriots now return home to take on the 9-1 Chicago Bears. New England Patriots Tickets to that game cost anywhere from $150 to $1,195.

The Boston Globe asks, “Are the Patriots really this good?” A 35-0 win over the Packers is something to write home about. But this one was easy. Too easy. And the Packers didn’t ever have the chance of so much as sniffing a W in this one. Brett Favre went 5 for 15 and 73 yards before leaving with an injury and the Pats held the Packers to 120 total yards of offense.

As for the Patriots? Tom Brady looked like his former self – the self that guided the Patriots to an era of NFL dominance and three Super Bowl titles. Brady was 20 of 31 for 244 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. Brady’s rating of 128.2 was his highest of the season. Now the Pats have to prepare for the Bears at home. The Patriots are undefeated this season on the road, but have lost two-straight at home.
