New England Patriots Top Bears

The New England Patriots had to overcome several turnovers today but managed to hold on and prevail against the Chicago Bears 17-13. The Patriots turned the ball over three times from within the Bears 20-yard line, but managed to win on a Tom Brady to Benjamin Watson touchdown pass. New England Patriots Tickets are available to next weekend’s game against the Detroit Lions for anywhere from $64 to $1,142.

Playing on their new artificial turf, the Patriots improved their record to 8-3 against a merciless Bears defense. The Bears defense was the stingiest in the league, allowing only 120 points in 10 games. But the Patriots were second, allowing only 131.

The Patriots claw one away from the Bears

The Bears were in the perfect position to finish a North Eastern sweep and came roaring back in the closing minutes of the game. In a game with nine turnovers, Asante Samuel intercepted a Rex Grossman to Rashied Davis pass with less than 2-minutes remaining in the game. Tom Brady then knelt on the next three plays, making sure every time that he held on to that ball just as tightly as he could. Belichick praised Samuel’s play after the game.

New England Patriots set to take on Chicago Bears

The New England Patriots and the Chicago Bears are set to face off at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts this afternoon at 4:15 p.m. New England Patriots Tickets are still available for upcoming home games on December 3 against the Detroit Lions for anywhere from $64 to $1,142 and then on December 17 against the Houston Texans for anywhere from $72 to $883.

This should be a great game between two of the best teams in the NFL. The Bears are coming off two solid road wins against the Jets and the Giants and, standing at 9-1, are looking to secure a division crown with a win in New England. The Patriots, at 7-3 are coming off their most outstanding defensive effort of the year last week against the Packers in Green Bay.

This could be a possible preview of the Super Bowl. New England Patriots fans still flinch when they think of the Bears and just how badly they mauled the Patriots back in Super Bowl XX. That 1985 Bears teams was a defensive monster and this years’ team, giving up only 120 points in 10 games, is not a far cry from that championship team of two decades ago.

The Patriots are not far off however, coming in second to the Bears at fewest points allowed per game with only 13.1.
