New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans

The 11-4 New England Patriots will take on the 8-7 Tennessee Titans at LP Field on New Years Eve. The 2006 AFC East Division Champion Patriots already have their ticket to the playoffs, and are looking to close out the 2006 season on a positive note while also keeping their starters healthy for the post-season. The Titans have won six straight games coming into this weekend’s match-up and is facing a must-win situation if they hope to keep their post-season desires alive.

Tom Brady of the Patriots

The Patriots managed to hold on against a determined Jacksonville Jaguars squad this past weekend to secure the AFC East title and a trip to the playoffs. The past two weekends, against the Jaguars and then Texans two weeks ago, allowed the Patriots the chance to flex their December muscle and show the rest of the league what may be in store for January. Tom Brady is up for the FedEx NFL Player of the week award for his performance last weekend, completing 28 of 39 passes for one touchdown and no interceptions.
