New England Patriots Defeat Jacksonville Jaguars

The New England Patriots managed to hold off the Jacksonville Jaguars and win 24-21, despite a late-game rally by the Jaguars who scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Although the Patriots will not be playing any more home games during the regular season, fans can still act to get their hands on Patriots playoff tickets on Stubhub.com once they become available.

Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady completed 28 of 39 passes for 249 yards and one touchdown pass. Although the Patriots carried the ball for 117 yards in this one, Cory Dillon only touched the ball ten times for a total of 30 yards. Even Tom Brady had more rushing yards that Dillon, rushing 10 times for 31 yards. Despite the numbers, it was enough to take on the surging Panthers who were playing to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Patriots became the first team to score more than 20 points against the Jaguars at Alltel Stadium this season and clinched the AFC East. The Jaguars have been dominant at home this season, with suffocating defensive provided by defensive tackles Marcus Stroud (6 feet, 6 inches), and John Henderson (6 feet, 7 inches). Fortunately, Brady was able to put his last trip to Florida behind him (remember that shut-out against the Dolphins?) as the Pats secured a victory and the AFC East.

New England Patriots Dominate Houston Texans

The New England Patriots dominated the Houston Texans today, winning by a score of 40-7. Now that the Patriots have secured a playoff spot, it is time for fans to start thinking about buying New England Patriots Playoff Tickets. They are available through Stubhub.com. Fans can place their bids for tickets and can expect to pay anywhere between $149 and $575 to catch the Patriots in the playoffs.

Despite giving the Texans a thorough thumping, the Patriots did not put up too much offense in this game. Tom Brady only completed 16 of 23 passes for 109 yards. He did manage to throw 2 touchdowns with no interceptions. The Patriots running game couldn’t boast too impressive a showing either. Cory Dillon carried the ball 20 times for 61 yards and no touchdowns. Tedy Bruschi led the defense with 10 tackles.

Still, this game had some significance for the Patriots. Many were beginning to doubt their playoff vitality after going 3-3 in their last six games with 19 turnovers. They lost 21-0 against the lowly Dolphins last weekend. New England is now 10-4 and can clinch the AFC East title with a win next weekend over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

New England Patriots Tickets

The New England Patriots have their final home game of the regular season quickly approaching. The Pats will take on the Houston Texans on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Gillette Stadium. New England Patriots Tickets remain available to the game through Stubhub.com. The spread on prices is anywhere from $99 to $799 currently. The Patriots are looking to redeem themselves after last weekend’s embarrassing shutout defeat against the Miami Dolphins.

Tedy Bruschi

The Patriots dropped to 9-4 for the season with Sunday’s defeat as the Pats lost their first road game of the season. This year has been an odd one – especially since it used to be that the Patriots never lost at home and only had the occasional hiccup when on the road. Tedy Bruschi was asked recently about the team’s sense of urgency and replied that anytime you come down the last three games of the season, you’ll play with renewed vigor. It’s about time. The Patriots have looked flat in their last couple of games, losing last weekend to Miami and just barely holding on to defeat the Lions the weekend before.

New England Patriots Blog Report

The New England Patriots will play their final home game of the regular season this upcoming December 17 when they will take on the Houston Texans.  New England Patriots Tickets remain available to the game through Stubhub.com.  Fans are paying anywhere from $69 to $750 to watch the Patriots as they try to secure a playoff berth.

The Patriots are coming off a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins this past weekend in which the Pats got shut out and now stand with a record of 9-4.  While all we can do at this point is trust in Bill Belichick, we also have to keep in mind that these are not the same Patriots of years past.  Kraft got stingy this past off-season and was not willing to cough up the cash to keep Viniteiri, Branch, or McGinist.  The offensive line has struggled all season, there have been too many injuries on defense, and the whole teams is penalty happy it would appear.

Tom Brady

The Patriots now stand as 12th in the NFL in rushing yards per game (121.2), 16th in turnovers, 11th in points scored (21.6), and 3rd in Red-Zone efficiency.  These are not bad figures by any stretch of the imagination.  Defensive figures are solid too.  The Pats are 3rd in yards allowed per game (86.4), 3rd in points allowed (14.3), and 2nd in TDs allowed in the Red-Zone.

New England Patriots Lose to Miami Dolphins

The New England Patriots suffered a 21-0 shutout at the hands of the Miami Dolphins today.  Tom Brady and the Patriots offense just could never get the ball moving the direction they wanted it to.  Miami sacked Brady four times, forced him to fumble twice, and held him to 78 yards.  New England’s best play was an illegal pass forward, said The Boston Globe.  It was that kind of day for the Patriots and Tom Brady.

The Patriots return home next weekend for their final home game of the season against the Houston Texans.  New England Patriots Tickets to the December 17 Texans game cost anywhere between $75 and $750.

Patriots Coach Bill Belichick could only shrug after the embarrassing loss.  “It was clear who was the better team out there today,” was all he could say.

Cory Dillon

Cory Dillon only managed 79 yards on 16 carries and the Patriots rushing team could only put up 123 yards of total rushing and 90 yards of total passing.  Brady was just 12-of-25 and was pulled from the game for Matt Cassel with five minutes left in the game.  The last time the Patriots lost on the road was November 27, 2005 to Kansas City.

New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions Analysis

Fans who managed to catch the New England Patriots take on the Detroit Lions this past weekend were glad to see the Patriots salvage a win in the closing moments of the game. At the same time, however, this was not an impressive performance put up by the Pats by any stretch of the imagination. Former Patriots Quarterback Steve Grogan said, “The team was flat, the crowd was flat, and the entire atmosphere was flat. That also had to be the worst broadcast of a football game I’ve watched in a long time.” New England Patriots Tickets are available to the December 17th game against the Texans for anywhere between $60 and $799.

Cory Dillon scored three times on Sunday

Despite the poor performance recently, the Patriots are poised the capture a playoff berth and the AFC East with a victory over the Dolphins in Miami this weekend and a loss by the Jets at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. One positive spin on last weekend’s victory over the Lions was that Cory Dillon seemed to come out of retirement, finally, to play the role he has been meant to play all season. We’ll see what this weekend brings.

New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions

New England Patriots Tickets are available to the Pats’ final home game at Gillette Stadium against the Houston Texans on December 17.  Patriots Tickets are selling to that final game for anywhere from $60 to $858.  In the meantime, the Patriots met the Detroit Lions at home this weekend and narrowly came out on top, winning late in the game by a score of 28-to-21.

The problem with this one was one of effort.  The Patriots seemed, at times, listless and unenthusiastic against the two-win Lions, and it almost cost them the game.  The Patriots got lucky on this one, and got a little help from Cory Dillon who scored three touchdowns.  Still, you have to ask yourself, how long the Patriots can last continuing to play like this.  Sure, they’ll make it to the playoffs at this point.  But they shouldn’t expect to make it far playing like this.  The Lions almost took this one, embarrassing since the 2-10 Lions are just counting the days until the end of the season so that they don’t have to play anymore.
