New England Gears Up for MNF

ESPN.com Insider is allowing all readers to access the Insider Report on the Patriots versus Bengals Monday Night Football match-up this week.  In it, Gary Horton of Scouts Inc gives readers insider information on what to watch for in this epic battle between two of the premier offenses in the AFC.  Horton points out that the Cincinnati secondary is extremely vulnerable when it comes to giving up the big play, so be on the lookout for a few early bombs from Tom Brady to Randy Moss.  The Patriots will most likely look to jump on the Bengals early and keep them down the rest of the game.  Look for the Pats to put as many points on the boards as they can in the first half, and then go to the run game to keep the ball out of Carson Palmer’s hands in the second half as they pull away.

The Patriots are really looking like the most complete team in the NFL through three games.  If they roll through Cincinnati in another rout, it will officially be time for the rest of the league to stand up and take notice that these Patriots are truly head and shoulders better than anyone else in the NFL right now.  I, for one, don’t expect the Patriots to have any trouble dispatching the Bengals this Monday night.  I just don’t think the Bengals have enough defense to contain the Pats.  The Patriots are one of the teams in the NFL that could conceivably win a shootout with the Bengals.  However, the Pats won’t need to, as their defense is far superior to the Bengals’ unit, and will most likely make this game just another ho-hum blowout on the Patriots’ way to the Super Bowl.
