Patriots Once Again Tops in Power Rankings

ESPN.com has once again released its NFL Power Rankings, and once again the New England Patriots are at the very top of the list.  The #1-ranked Patriots stomped the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football in yet another lopsided victory for the Patriots.  The Pats offense is operating like absolute clockwork, having scored so far in each of the 16 quarters of this young 2007 season.  This streak cannot be totally attributed to the new additions New England made in the offseason, as the Patriots’ scoring streak actually goes back 36 quarters, all the way into last season.

The New England Patriots are absolutely the best team in the NFL today.  They are the best offensive unit I’ve ever seen on a football field in my entire life.  The Randy Moss touchdown catch on Monday was absolutely unbelievable, in the sense that I actually could not believe what I had just seen.  I have officially put a moratorium of the use of the dirty word that starts with “Un” and kind of rhymes with “Retreated,” but I will say that the Patriots are staring at one very memorable season, and they are unequivocally the team to beat in the NFL right now.
