ESPN.com has released their Power Rankings for the week. The Patriots are of course still at the top of the list. The Patriots overcame an injury to their starting running back and the first game from Randy Moss as a Patriot in which he did not have at least 100 yards receiving to defeat the Browns 34-17. The Pats have still yet to allow anyone to score three touchdowns in a game. They’re also averaging nearly five touchdowns per game themselves. Tom Brady is on his way to having an absolutely historic season. His touchdown numbers over the first five games are already nearly impossible to believe.
The Pats can now look ahead to the Dallas Cowboys, who gutted out a huge win against Buffalo on Monday Night Football, despite six turnovers from QB Tony Romo. Romo will have to play much better football if the Cowboys hope to take down the Colossus that is the 2007 New England Patriots. I guarantee you that the Patriots will not be caught losing a game in which the opponent’s quarterback throws five picks. I happen to believe that this game will be no contest, with the Patriots continuing to roll over the competition on the way to their week 9 showdown with Indianapolis.
