In my absolute favorite news story so far this NFL season, it would appear that last season the New York Jets were caught spying on the New England Patriots. Details are hard to come by in this new story, but suffice to say that this only makes me even more sure that the Jets are in for the whuppin’ of a lifetime this week against the Pats. No wonder Belichick was so incensed about this whole ordeal. Was the man only trying to prove a point? Was he taping the Jets purposefully to thumb his nose at them? Was he daring Mangini to do something about it? Is he going to take his revenge on Mangini this Sunday?
Whatever happens, I can tell you that the number one team in the Power Rankings will show up ready to play on Sunday. They are practicing as hard as they have all season, if not much much harder. Everyone is calling for the hundred point game, the 10 touchdown passes from Brady. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Brady will totally destroy every record known to man on Sunday, but he may well throw for at least seven touchdowns. That’s the record held by five men, the last of whom threw for seven TDs in the early 1960s. Brady would have to throw for eight to hold the record all by himself.
