Belichick Wins AP Coach of the Year

Bill Belichick has been named AP Coach of the Year, after one of the craziest and most historic seasons in NFL history for his New England Patriots.  Even with accusations of cheating, running up the score, and any other host of terrible football sins, at the end of the year, no one could deny the man his due.  When your team goes undefeated on the way to setting an NFL record for points scored - not to mention having your QB and number 1 wide receiver setting individual records - it’s pretty hard for people to ignore your accomplishments or try to explain them away.

While the Pats will enjoy these accolades, don’t expect them to start drinking their own Kool-Aid.  This team is full of professional men who know exactly what it takes to win a Super Bowl.  They aren’t resting on their laurels now.  This team knows just exactly how close they are to cementing their legacy as the greatest team of all time, and they are hungry for that moniker.  They may not be saying it, but they know.  They understand their place in history if they pull this off.  And they will do anything in their power to win Super Bowl XLII.
