Brady MVP

Tom Brady was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player, in a vote that surprised no one who actually watches football.  Brady becomes the first New England Patriot to win the award, and he nearly won it unanimously, taking 49 of the 50 MVP votes. Add this to the already long list of accomplishments and records this New England team can add to their mantle. The Patriots have the coach of the year, the MVP (who also happens to have set the single-season QB touchdown record this season), a wide receiver who now holds the record for number of touchdowns caught in one season, and the record for most points by a team offense.

And none of this will mean anything this weekend.  If the Patriots cannot take care of business at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars, this dream season will come to a nightmarish end all too quickly.  The Patriots have a huge test coming to them, and they will need to bring their best game to the table if they wish to emerge victorious.  Fortunately for Pats fans everywhere, no one prepares for the playoffs like the Patriots.  Belichick should have these men up and ready to play.  The Patriots are professionals, and I expect them to take care of business this weekend.
