New England Pats are in the best position this year

So says an ESPN blog analyzing the outlooks for the year for several NFL teams. The Pats have a lot to look forward to, according to blogger Bill Williamson (down toward the bottom of the post). He notes that the Pats have their drama behind them, and stand to move forward quite a bit this year. They definitely have a hunger for the Super Bowl, as Williamson points out, and that’s sure to push them extra hard to achieve in the near future. The Pats have a strong team and we’re sure to see them playing some of their best games this year.

Distractions like Spygate can really hurt a team if it’s going on at the right (or rather, wrong) time. It keeps players unfocused, and shakes the collective confidence pretty badly.
