Randy Moss, probably for the first time in his career, has the trust of his teammates on and off the field. The Patriots wide receiver has always been a favorite target of any quarterback he’s played with. Just ask Tom Brady how confident he feels when he heaves up a deep ball with Moss streaking down the sideline, or when he throws a jump ball into the corner of the end zone in Moss’ direction. Moss has always been relied upon on the field, but he’s had his share of off-the-field issues. The Marshall product has been a model citizen since joining the Patriots last offseason. Moss’ first year with the team was a record-setting one as his 23 touchdown receptions broke Jerry Rice’s single-season record. Moss also caught another 75 balls and totaled 1493 yards through the air.
It’s only been one year, but you haven’t heard a peep out of Randy Moss since he’s joined the Patriots. He’s been in integral part of the offense and quickly became Brady’s favorite target. Winning will make anyone happy enough to behave, but one has to wonder if Moss would be sulking right now if he were on a bad team. Regardless, he’s on the best team in football now and is making the most of it.
