More Changes for New England

The Associated Press announced yesterday that along with the signing of linebacker Rosevelt Colvin to the Patriots’ faltering defense will come yet another NFL veteran ready to suit up in New England blue and red: the one and only Junior Seau. The 39-year-old linebacker and 12-time Pro Bowler has spent most of this season nursing a hurt shoulder, and now Seau is ready to come back into the game as a replacement for Adalius Thomas, who will miss the rest of the season due to an arm injury. Junior Seau is a 19-year NFL veteran and played 27 games for the Pats over the last two seasons, but hasn’t played with New England this year.

The news of Seau’s return to New England comes just days before the Patriots take on the Seahawks at Seattle, a must-win game for the Pats to still have a shot at the playoffs. The last time the two teams met was in 2004, when New England slid past Seattle30-20. Look to Sammy Morris to deliver for the Patriots, as the running back is recovering from a knee injury in Week 7 that is constantly improving.
