Harrison’s Super Bowl Role

New England Patriots superstar Rodney Harrison may have been out most of the regular season with a frustrating injury, but that didn’t stop the standout safety from joining the ultimate Super Bowl party yesterday – on television, that is. Harrison joined the NBC pregame show as a guest analyst before Super Bowl XLIII as the Pittsburgh Steelers faced off against the Arizona Cardinals, and he was more than anxious to throw in his opinion about the two teams vying for this year’s Super Bowl title.

In a stinging comment made to bring up hurt feelings still lingering from last year’s 17-14 loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII, Harrison made his prediction on how yesterday’s game would play out between the Cardinals and the Steelers, saying, “Unlike last year’s Super Bowl, this year’s Super Bowl will be won by the best team and that’s the Pittsburgh Steelers.” This biting statement packed a real punch for football fans across the nation watching the NBC pregame of the Super Bowl coverage, but Harrison is not backing down from his statement.

Harrison ended this season with the New England Patriots as a free agent and has not yet made a statement regarding his return for a 16th NFL season or retirement.
